The Frühburgunder from Domaine Salamander, originating from Eys in South Limburg, is an exceptionally refined red wine made from the early-ripening Pinot Noir variety, also known as Pinot Noir Précoce. This wine is known for its soft, fruity character with a slightly spicy note.
In the glass it shows a ruby red color and an inviting scent of cherries, ripe strawberries and a hint of violets. In terms of taste, the Frühburgunder offers a mix of red fruit and subtle spices, supported by mild tannins and a pleasant freshness. The alcohol percentage is around 13.8%, which makes it pleasantly balanced without being too heavy.
This wine is perfect as an accompaniment to lighter dishes, such as roasted vegetables, poultry or a not too heavy pasta. It also comes into its own as an aperitif wine thanks to its smooth and accessible character. With this Frühburgunder, Domaine Salamander shows that refined red wines are also made in the Netherlands that perfectly match the current demand for elegant and drinkable wines.
