The Vuurzee Champagne Beer from the Bourgondisch Brouwhuis De Goede & De Stoute is an elegant, sparkling, and award-winning brut beer. Having convinced several Michelin-starred sommeliers, this Vuurzee Champagne Beer is perfect for gastronomy. Brewed with sparkling wine yeast and hand-picked Pinot Noir grapes from our own region, the yeast creates a refined, fresh bubble with a light, lactic acidity. Instead of the classic bitterness of hops, the light tannins from the grape skins provide a soft, elegant bitterness. The combination of grape and yeast results in a complex, light, and refreshing flavor profile. After bottling, Vuurzee matures in the bottle for 3 to 4 months, allowing the coarse bubbles to refine into a soft mousse. Just like a good sparkling wine, the flavor evolves through bottle aging, although the final glass may be cloudy due to the presence of yeast. Vuurzee won gold at the Brussels Beer Challenge 2024 in Ghent.

Burgundian Brewery The Good & the Bold is a craft brewery that experiments with wine and beer. With a focus on terroir and refinement, they consciously choose alternatives to traditional hop bitterness, such as the light tannins of the Pinot Noir grape from their own vineyard. The brewers draw inspiration from winemaking techniques, from the use of sparkling wine yeast to aging in bottles or wooden barrels. For example, a special edition of Vuurzee Champagne beer was aged for six months at the bottom of the Oosterschelde estuary, contributing to its complexity and depth. The result is a range of unique beers that surprise both beer lovers and wine connoisseurs.
