The Late Harvest from Wijngoed Thorn is a special wine that immediately embraces you with its rich, sweet charm. As the name suggests, the grapes for this wine are left on the vine for an extra long time, which allows them to develop more sugar and more intense flavors. This results in a velvety dessert wine, ideal for a special occasion or as the perfect ending to a meal.
This unique Dutch dessert wine is made from late harvested Pinot Gris grapes with pourriture noble (noble rot). This process gives the wine a wonderful complexity and a natural sweetness, with no less than 89 grams of residual sugar. In the glass it reveals a seductive aroma of honey, peach, banana and pineapple, perfectly balanced thanks to a refined sweet-sour ratio.
This wine comes from the wine appellation BOB Maasvallei Limburg and is a true rarity in the Netherlands. An absolute must-try for lovers of refined dessert wines!
