Blanc – Winery De Kleine Schorre

This Pinot Blanc – Wijnhoeve De Kleine Schorre is juicy and almost tingling fresh, with refined notes of citrus, apple and pear.
The subtle spiciness and salty minerals provide a perfect balance, while a little pepper on the finish adds that little bit of extra spice.
This fresh, fruity wine from Zeeland is wonderfully soft and round, perfect to enjoy young.

Ideal in combination with fish dishes, shellfish and of course mussels

About the winemaker:

De Kleine Schorre is located in Schouwen Duivenland, Zeeland. Due to the sea breeze you can find a light mineral / salty touch in the wines here.

The sunny location in the Netherlands allows the grapes to ripen well and the maritime climate protects them somewhat better against frost. Originally, other types of fruit were grown on the Kleine Schorre estate, but when the last generation, Johan Van der Velde, took over from his father, the focus shifted to grape cultivation.
This has worked out so well that they are now one of the largest winemakers in the Netherlands with 14 hectares and have the complete focus on grape cultivation and winemaking. The classic grape varieties Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Rivaner are planned on the chalky soil.
