Bij het maken van natuurwijn wordt zo min mogelijk ingegrepen. Dit geldt zowel in de wijngaard en in de wijnmakerij zelf. Er zijn veel voordelen aan deze manier van wijn maken. Bestrijdingsmiddelen in de wijngaard helpen namelijk tegen ziektes en schimmels. Natuurwijn makers gebruiken geen bestrijdingsmiddelen. Dit kan ten koste gaan van de oogst en dus de opbrengst. De prijs van natuurwijn ligt om deze reden vaak hoger.<\/p>\n In het maakproces van natuurwijn wordt vrijwel niets toegevoegd of uit de wijn gehaald. Om een goede natuurwijn te maken moet er daarom heel hygi\u00ebnisch en secuur gewerkt worden. Eventuele fouten in de wijn kunnen namelijk niet verbloemd of uit de wijn gefilterd worden.<\/p>\n Het kan, hoe secuur er ook gewerkt wordt, altijd voorkomen dat er een bacterie in de wijntank komt. Dit kan een hele batch verpesten, dit risico moet de natuurwijn maker dus ook incalculeren in zijn prijs.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_divider _builder_version=”4.17.6″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][\/et_pb_divider][et_pb_text module_id=”zit-er-sulfiet-in-natuurwijn” _builder_version=”4.17.6″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”20px|0px|20px||true|false” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Wijn bevat van nature al sulfiet. Het is heel normaal om wat sulfiet toe te voegen om de wijn langer houdbaar te maken. Sulfiet heeft ook nadelen, het kan zorgen voor hoofdpijn en misselijkheid. Daarom wordt er bij natuurwijn vaak voor gekozen om dit helemaal niet of in zeer minimale mate toe te voegen. De term natuurwijn wordt juridisch niet eens erkent, want de CEEW (die partij vertegenwoordigd de wijnindustrie in de EU) claimt dat alle wijn natuurlijk is. Daarom zal je de term ‘Natuurwijn’ dus ook niet op een etiket vinden. Best lastig! Wil je zeker weten dat je een natuurwijn koopt? Zo heeft hij bermen aangelegd die biodiversiteit stimuleren en groeien zijn ranken op wel +-180cm hoogte. Dit helpt tegen vorst schade en\u00a0tegen schimmels.\u00a0Ook lopen de natuurlijke grasmaaiers (schapen) het hele jaar door de wijngaard.\u00a0Deze kunnen immers niet van de druiven snoepen, die hangen namelijk veel te hoog.
