In de neus herken je een subtiele kruidige aroma gecombineerd met rozenblaadjes, fruittonen van bessen, en rood fruit. De smaak is krachtig, verfrissend, met verfijnde zuren en een medium body. De smaak is vergelijkbaar met een ros\u00e9 uit Bandol in de Provence. De Parel van Elst Ros\u00e9 is gemaakt van de Cabernet Cortis druiven.<\/p>\n<p>De naam Optimum verwijst naar de Romeinen, die in Elst de grootste tempel bouwden van het noordelijke deel van hun rijk. Door de aanwezigheid van deze romeinen, weten we dat er toen al wijn werd gedronken in de Betuwe.<\/p>\n<h5>About the winemaker<\/h5>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keulenhof.nl\/\">Keulenhof Vineyard<\/a> Situated in a unique location in the Betuwe region, part of the BOB Rivierenland (Rivierenland Designated Origins Act). The vineyard is situated on fertile river clay, formed by centuries of flooding by the Rhine and Waal rivers. This results in fresh, fruity wines. However, Keulenhof offers something extra: beneath the river clay lies a layer of loess. This fine, calcareous soil retains water and nutrients well, giving wines a soft structure, fresh acidity, and sometimes a subtle minerality. Keulenhof wines possess exceptional purity and elegance thanks to the unique soil, combined with the careful grape selection and vineyard management of Arjan and Ingrid Stam. The family business has been working the Betuwe soil for four generations, resulting in a range of characterful wines.
