About the winemaker

Betuws Wine Estate stands for craftsmanship, vision, and innovation in Dutch winemaking. Diederik Beker and Arina van Leenen are the driving force behind this leading wine estate. What began as a traditional arable farm has grown into one of the largest and most sustainable vineyards in the Netherlands, with over 7 hectares of vines.

Diederik chose climate-resistant grape varieties early on, perfectly suited to the Betuwe river clay. His progressive approach and eye for quality did not go unnoticed: in 2017, he was named Winemaker of the Year. Together with Arina, he creates wines that are not only technically strong but also express the character of the region. The Linge Rood Cuvée Barrique is a wonderful example.
